Welcome to the Ladies Section of the Worcester Herefordshire Web Site
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all readers of the website for Worcestershire and Herefordshire Ladies County Golf Association. On this site you will find everything you wish to know about Ladies Golf in the County.
We have a very enthusiastic and dedicated group of volunteers who ensure that all categories of members are well catered for. These ladies organise County 1st & 2nd Teams, an excellent Junior section and many competitions that are open to all lady members, with a CONGU handicap, of golf clubs in the two counties.
The Junior section is run by their own very active committee who organise and run teams, championships and fun events for all junior girls in the county. Girls do not necessarily have to have an official handicap to benefit from these activities and are also able to participate in one of the many coaching sessions that are set up to accommodate all standards of playing ability.
The County Golf Partnership (CGP) has developed rapidly and our sincere thanks must go to all those who have been actively involved in its development. Together with the County Men’s Union and PGA, funding has been secured for all levels of activities in the Counties from Coaching, Development of squads at Junior level to help at club level to encourage people into the sport. Sincere thanks must go to the English Golf Union (EGU) and the English Women’s Golf Association (EWGA), especially Sharon Heeley from the Development team for all their assistance.
You will find on this site dates of meetings, fixtures, entry forms, competition rules, time sheets, results, photos and much more. I would urge you to have a look at the contents and support YOUR County by entering the competitions and supporting the teams.
Pat Tattersall pat.tat@talktalk.net is responsible for the website and I know she will be delighted to hear from anyone who has news of happenings in the County.
