A 10 - 8 win at Stourbridge over Staffordshire gave the team the two point winning margin to clinch League victory. Overnight rain caused marginal playing conditions, but a delayed start allowed 9 greens to drain sufficiently to allow play and over the reduced course the Foursomes produced a 3 - 3 tie at lunchtime. The remaining holes had dried out and 12 singles matches over 18 holes finished 7 - 5. Click here for details Our thanks to Stourbridge Golf Club and members for their help in making the special arrangements to allow the match to take place. A great win and thoroughly deserved result for Captain Rod Armstrong, who has revitalised interest and support in this team. Well done to all the players in the squad who will each receive a solid silver League Medal at the County Dinner.
