1st and 2nd teams record fine wins but just fall short of league titles

On the final day of the Midland League season, the Worcestershire 1st and 2nd Teams did the County proud by winning their matches against Staffordshire.

The First Team won 9-6 whilst the Second Team won 11 -4. This was a great effort by both teams who were trying to win their respective leagues.

In the end, the 1st Team tied with Staffordshire on 7 pts but lost the league title by one match on count-back.

The 2nd Team needed to win, which they did, but so did rivals Nottinghamshire and they took the title by one point.

The County are very proud of the players who have represented Worcestershire this year to achieve such high standards of sportsmanship and skill in challenging for the Midland League titles.
