Boulton Salver Report and results - 18.5.14

The 2014 Boulton Salver Report

In fine, warm conditions, the 58th running of the Inter- Club Foursomes Championship for the Boulton Salver took place at Moseley Golf Club on Sunday 18th May 2014.

The course was in fine condition with the greens being extremely fast and firm. The gusty wind and tough pin positions made scoring very difficult and all the competitors described how it fully tested their levels of patience and short game skills. Thank you to the greens-staff for their excellent work in preparing the course to such a high standard.

The hospitality at the club shown to all the competitors and officials was first class and the County look forward to returning to Moseley for the EGU Qualifier ( The County Six ) on June 21st.

The County would like to thank Martin Knowles, 2014 Moseley Club Captain, for attending the prize presentation as well as everyone associated with Moseley Golf Club for their support in hosting this prestigious event.

The County Officials who helped make the event run so smoothly were: Grenville Rose, Dave McDermott, John Moreton, Roy Hobbis, Colin Day and Stuart Pritchard.

The Nett winners and overall Champions were Russ Ager and Matt Vigurs from Redditch Golf Club with 143. ( Gross 75 & 70)
