Worcestershire County Championships 2022 - Rd1 Rules

The competition shall be played in accordance with Worcestershire County Golf's General Terms of Competitions - see County Website.
In addition to the Gold Medal & Centenary Putter to be awarded to the competitor with the best aggregate gross score over 36 holes, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the competitors taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The competitor with the best aggregate 36 hole nett score will be awarded the Philip Padmore Trophy.
The competitor aged U21 as at 1st January 2021, with the best aggregate 36 hole gross score will be awarded the Youth Trophy.
The G. D. Carr Cup, which qualifies as a 54 hole World Ranking event, will be awarded to the competitor who records the best gross 54 hole aggregate score, to include his score from the County Championship Team event.
The leading 8 competitors will qualify to play in the Worcestershire Matchplay Championship; the semi-final and final to be held at Blackwell GC on 24 July 2022.
Under the direction of the Championship Committee, the winner of the Gold Medal and The Centenary Putter will represent Worcestershire in the England Golf County Champion of Champions Tournament at Woodhall Spa GC on Sunday 11th September 2022.
In the event of a tie for the Gold Medal, there will be a play off, under the same conditions that governed the original competition, over selected holes on the same day. If scores are still tied, then by sudden death. In the event of a tie for the G.D. Carr Cup, the Philip Padmore Trophy, the Youths’ Championship, Silver or Bronze Medals, then the competitor with the better or best score over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or final hole will be declared the winner. Entry will close at 2359 29 May 2022.
Payment of £30.00 is required at time of entry. Where payment is not received entries will be automatically removed.
One courtesy practice round will be available to all competitors subject to prior agreement with Droitwich GC. Players MUST telephone the General Manager to confirm details in advance. Subject to availability.
