Louis Rickett Heads to US for the IMG Junior World Golf Championship

Louis Rickett, a member of the Worcestershire County Golf  U12 Squad, and a member of Ian Henry's Worcestershire & Herefordshire Golf Consortium (WHGC) Development Centre, recently played in the British Junior Golf Tour event at Hoebridge Golf Club. The event was held over the Hoebridge Golf Club Par 3 short course, with holes ranging from 80 - 190 yards.  Louis was in the 6 and under age category, and shot 73 over the par 54 course, to win by 2 shots.

By winning, Louis has now gained a place at the IMG Junior World Golf Championships that will be played in July 2016 in the United States. Louis also played in the event in 2015, in the year group above his age, and finished 22nd. He has high hopes to improve on his performance this time around.

The IMG World Golf Championships is a prestigious event and past winners include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickleson and Jason Day.

Louis first came to the attention of Worcestershire County Golf in 2015 when he played in a fun day event arranged by WHGC and played over the par 3 short course at Kings Norton Golf Club.
