Many congratulations to Oliver Farrell ( Evesham Golf Club) who has been selected to play for England in the Fairhaven Trophy - Nations Cup Team.

This is not only a great honour for Oliver but also for Worcestershire County Golf Union.
The England Team selections are :
Team 1 : Sophie Keetch, Marco Penge, Bradley Moore
Team 2: Sophie Lamb, Matty Lamb, Jake Storey
Team 3: Eloise Healey, Jonathan Thompson, Billy Spooner
Team 4: Hollie Muse, Jamie Li, Oliver Farrell
This event will take place at Fairhaven Golf Club, Lancashire, between the 2nd and 4th May 2014.
The Fairhaven Trophies shall be played by Stroke Play over 72 holes. 144 competitors, of which 120 will be boys and 24 will be girls will complete 18 holes on Friday 2nd May 2014 and 18holes on Saturday 3rd May. After 36 holes, the leading 34 boys and ties, together with the leading 6 girls and ties, shall play a further 36 holes on Sunday 4th May (a 2-tee start may be used if qualifiers exceed 48).
The winners shall be the boy and girl who return the lowest score over 72 holes. In the event of a tie there will be a play off over holes 1, 2, 17 and 18 and if this does not produce a winner there will a ‘sudden death’ play-off over the same holes, until a winner is established.
The Nations Cup shall be played over the first 36 holes. The best two 2 scores from each round to count toward the team 36 hole aggregate total.
Each Union/Federation may enter teams, consisting of up to 3 players of which no more than 2 can be of the same gender, subject to fulfilling entry qualifications to the Fairhaven Trophies.
