So the team arrived at Mickleover Golf Club after an early start from Worcestershire with a fresh look. With five under sixteen regulars, four of which making their debuts for the boys team, everyone was very engaged and looking forward to the match ahead and an opportunity to prove a point.

Foursomes

With a new look under eighteens team it was good to test some of our regular under sixteen pairings and one or two established under eighteen pairs. All pairings performed well, wit Jake Kelly and Nathan Slater winning well 6&4! However Ollie Lowe and Will Stott entertained the crowds on the eighteenth by making a solid par to secure a one up win and a Worcestershire 3 - 2 lead at lunch.

Singles

It was nice to head into the singles with a point lead knowing that it was slightly more in our control. Matt Osborn our Captain lead the way well with a clinical performance which helped him win 4&3. The remaining matches seemed to be a lot tighter with the majority going the full length. Notable performances from our under sixteen Captain Nathan Slater winning on eighteen, Ollie Lowe getting a half and Chris Crisp finished birdie birdie to snatch a half from door me two down. This match was destined for a tight finish and it didn't disappoint. Callum Green had to hole out from four feet at the last to half his game and the overall match.

Overall this was a very positive result for next season. Lets also hope we can build on this for our final boys fixture of the season against Staffordshire at Wolstanton Golf Club.
