About The WUGC

The Union was formed on the 17th November 1905 at the Star Hotel, Worcester and is the fourth oldest County Union in England.

Grenville Rose, our President, welcomes you to this wonderful golfing County, which has 33 clubs. They are a diverse mixture of private, corporate and public courses. This website features all our clubs and their details so that you can easily make contact, whether you are a complete beginner, visitor or established player.

Droitwich Shield & Kidderminster Cup Finals


The Droitwich Shield Final will be between Moseley A and Hagley G&CC, teeing off at 10.00am.

The Kidderminster Cup Final will be between Droitwich A and Gaudet Luce, teeing off at 10.30am.

County Squad Day at Moseley GC on Saturday 25th March

Adam Norman (County Captain) and Steve Bird (County 2nd Team Captain) continued their preparations for the season by inviting 24 players to a second County Squad Day at Moseley GC on Saturday 25th March. The foursomes matches were keenly contested and gave both captains a good idea of some strong pairings for this year's competitive season. The first friendly match against Gloucestershire is on Sunday 9th April and the teams will be announced shortly. 

Entry for all 2017 County Competitions Now Open

On line or paper entry forms are now available for all 2017 County Competitions via the Competitions page. Coming up in May:

Monday 8th May - Senior Foursomes at Stourbridge GC

Tuesday 9th May - Club Handicap Tournament at Kings Norton GC

Sunday 14th May - Boulton Salver at Redditch GC

Boys Winter Coaching

The winter coaching is now coming to an end, and the season will soon be upon us. To sharpen our players before they play their first official fixtures two "friendlies" have been arranged:

U18 Boys v KNGC Scratch Team at Kings Norton GC on Sunday 2nd April - 1.30pm start.

U14 Boys v Worcestershire Seniors at Redditch GC on Sunday 9th April - 12.00 midday start. 

Spectators are welcome at either match.

Junior Order of Merit

Details of the 2017 Worcestershire Boys Order of Merit, sponsored by Lynx, have just been announced:

Ben Robinson tied 20th in Kenyan Open

Ben Robinson, who just two months ago was helping the County Boys Squad with their Winter Training, has started his own season in fine form. He finished in 20th spot, 7 under par, at the Kenyan Open, part of the European Challenge Tour.
