About The WUGC

The Union was formed on the 17th November 1905 at the Star Hotel, Worcester and is the fourth oldest County Union in England.

Will Painter, our President, welcomes you to this wonderful golfing County, which has 35 clubs. They are a diverse mixture of private, corporate and public courses. This website features all our clubs and their details so that you can easily make contact, whether you are a complete beginner, visitor or established player.

The Belfry golf course

Brabazon Beckons 

Invited 1st and 2nd Team players will begin the 2017 season playing the Brabazon course on Sunday March 12th. Click here for full details.

A Worcestershire Boys County coaching session will take place on Sunday 5th March 2017 at Hollywood Golf Club. This is the final session for this winter's coaching. Please arrive for 11.45 prompt for a team meeting before play starts. 

Oliver Farrell continues his impressive form in USA

Oliver, the current Worcestershire Amateur Champion, led his Marquette College Team to a win in the Charleston Shootout played at Kiawah Island. Full story.

Entry for all 2017 County Competitions Now Open

On line or paper entry forms are now available for all 2017 County Competitions via the Competitions page. Coming up in May:

Monday 8th May - Senior Foursomes at Stourbridge GC

Tuesday 9th May - Club Handicap Tournament at Kings Norton GC

Sunday 14th May - Boulton Salver at Redditch GC
