The U14’s had a pre-season Ryder Cup day at Droitwich GC. The course was in fine condition and team USA were on a mission to repeat their success from last year. Logan Lawless was the European captain with Oliver Ansell captaining team USA. All matches produced some great golf and it was lovely to see how hard the boys had worked over the winter. Europe took an early lead with Logan Lawless and Ed Perry winning 2&1. A strong partnership of Oskar Nielsen and Will Hadley then made the tie level with a USA win. It came down to the final match and debutant Luke Hall sunk the crucial putt on the 16th green to give USA a 2-1 win. I would like to thank Droitwich GC for kindly hosting the event and to the parents for helping run such a lovely event.
The U14’s will play their first match away to S&H on Saturday 17th May at Leominster GC.
