Tom Godfrey - Worcestershire County Matchplay Champion
With just one semi-final to play after a late withdrawal it was Tom Godfrey (Fulford Heath GC) and Ryan Greenwood (Halesowen GC) who tee’d off on an empty and very inviting Blackwell Golf Course. It was a close match with neither being able to break away until the last few holes with Tom managing a 2&1 win.
A quick lunch and Tom was joined by our Open Champion, Steve Clark (Droitwich GC). Tom took an early lead which Steve just could not peg Tom back, and he continued pull away to a finish on the 13th.
Some fine golf, played with great sportsmanship on a superb course.
